"Have You?"

DEDICATED TO ALL:

Law Enforcement in Texas

Have you ever seen and agent smile
Knowing you'd walk the extra mile
To see the world he lives on
All the while staying strong?

Have you ever heard a trooper speak
His famous southern streak
Tipping his hat, waving his hand
Keeping you safe on “his land”

Have you ever seen a deputy leave
A stranded motorist on her feet
Staying with her till she feels
The comfort knowing he is near?

Have you ever seen a city police
Walk his beat in a public street
Or seen the shine of his badge
When you smile as he passed?

Have you ever asked a wife
Why she choose to lead his life
Or a mother why she worries
About a son who always hurries

Have you ever asked his son
Why his dad is never home
To see him rise and grow
They way he taught him so?

Have you ever stopped to wonder
Why they go beyond the call of yonder
To help those in need
And the ones that smoke weed
